Can’t help liking the designs in this project file, but I am wondering if I could use Australian native flowers. Interesting thought!

Love the second design, though I think I would tone down the colouring in the applique blocks in the corners if I was cutting up fabric to make this one.
read moreIt may be spring time in Australia, but my advice for any brides planning to get married in the near future is to have some winter woolies to keep you warm, or plan all activities for the day to be indoors with central heating.
At least there are some hardy spring flowers adding colour to the garden, though the weeds are trying to keep them out of view.

I love playing with these simple leaf shapes, and though I have been sidelined by mixed bead shapes as well, today’s designs today have just the one shape.
Who really needs lots of different shapes when one shape in a variety of fabrics can be arranged like the second design?

Variation, and the corners are too dark in this one too.

Not overly impressed by the border, but I like the rest of the design.
A little bit of blank space for the eyes to rest, and I like the busy parts of the second design.

Lots of space for quilting, and as there are no Wedding ring blocks amongst the applique, I would try to incorporate quilted Wedding Rings.
Quilted Wedding Rings would be a simple way of filling in the spaces reserved for quilting too.
